OpenAI Codex Usage Monitor Methodology

How the AI usage monitor collects, labels, and verifies public events.

Purpose

Tracks public Codex limit, reset, rate-limit, and subscription updates. It reports events, not account balances.

Sources

Sources include direct X data, official sources, and web-search index hits. Each event keeps its source link and type.

Status

DIRECT / OFFICIAL means the corresponding source was obtained; INDEXED_ONLY means it came from a search index and awaits direct source confirmation.

Summaries

Titles and summaries may be generated by the classifier and are marked AI summary; the original source is the review path.

Updates

Scheduled checks refresh the data and record monitor, source-fetch, and event-verification times separately.

Corrections

Later evidence can update an event’s status; dates absent from the source remain Unknown.
